After weeks of reviewing applications, doing interviews YEF Advisory Board announced the winner of this year's YEF Scholarship recipient.

​

Güller Yazgı Akata was among the final 4 students that has been chosen after what turned out to be one of the most competitive class of applicants. "It is always very hard to choose one student when you have so many deserving ones" said Matt Yildizlar, Founder and Chair of YEF Advisory Board.

​

Yazgı attended the DarüÅŸaffaka High School, established in 1873 as the first private institute to offer a high school education to bright underpriveleged students on full scholarships. With an overal GPA of 95.43, Yazgı was among the top 1% of her class with tremendous achievement not only academically but also in every social aspect both at and outside of her school.
